Launch of a separate website for "Messenger" app

As the popularity of social networking increases day by day, the famous social media networking sites have taken the networking a step forward. Now growing demands of chatting inspires the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, to launch a separate website for "Messenger" app.

Like Whatsapp, Facebook too has made its users a website where people can use the apps not only for chatting but also for sharing other important items online.

Messenger will allow users to:

1) Chat with friends via text, know when messages are delivered and sent.
2) HD Calls and sending photos, videos.
3) Voice messages and group chats
4) Payments (available in select areas). Via this, users can send and receive money from friends (which gives Facebook access to card details)

Great step I must say.

So, now use Facebook's Messenger app for chatting and voice messages and calls...the list is big.

Introducing "InstaGram Direct" to share photos to Facebook friends

Facebook has taken its latest swing at Snaptchat with Instagram Direct. This is a feature introduced by Instagram for direct messaging to a group or friends or family. 

Instagram's CEO, Kevin Systorm said that the new feature is designed for sharing more images. Over 80 million people use Instagram everyday mostly posting images. The new feature , Instagram Direct, will allow people to send private photo messages to up to 15 people.





Still all this is separated for Facebook who has a zero connection with Instagram Direct. In the near future, users will be accessing Instagram Direct feature to send their photos to Facebook friends too.

"What Would I Say" - predicts your upcoming "Status Updates" in Facebook

Status updates in Facebook done widely by many users. Constant updates on their Facebook wall brings more and more likes and comments from other users who are connected with them. You had posted and edited it too.

When you post on your wall, if it is ungrammatical and in a stream of consciousness mode, then your next status update may be predicted by "What Would I Say" tool.

 

This tool has been created for the hackers conference HackPrinceton 2013. 

This tool uses a "Markov bot" which takes the text from your past Facebook statuses and displays one which it thinks that you would post on your wall next time.
